The pulse of Rural India

Rural India's
data infrastructure.

Primary household data, collected village by village — through a trained local network — so governments, investors, and companies can decide on what's real.

What we do

One platform, three audiences.

We help organisations gather reliable, geo-tagged data from rural India — at the speed and quality their work demands.

For research

Universities & Institutes

Rigorous fieldwork for academic studies, evaluations, and policy research. Trained enumerators, transparent methods, clean datasets ready for analysis in Stata, R, or SPSS.

For policy

Government & Public Sector

Reach last-mile households across multiple states. Useful for scheme monitoring, beneficiary surveys, baseline and endline studies, and rapid assessments.

For industry

Companies & Investors

Market sizing, product testing, distribution mapping, and consumer insight in rural markets. Suitable for agritech, rural fintech, FMCG, and venture-backed pilots.

How it works

From survey design to clean dataset.

A typical Shaktigram project moves through four stages. Most are completed in two to six weeks, depending on scale and sample.

01

Design

We work with you to design the survey instrument, sampling frame, and quality checks.

02

Train

Field enumerators are trained on the specific survey, with checks for comprehension and consent protocols.

03

Deploy

Data is collected on our offline-first mobile app, with geo-tagging, audio audits, and real-time supervision.

04

Deliver

You receive a clean, documented dataset with metadata, ready for analysis.

Our network

Surveys done by people who live there.

Shaktigram works through a network of rural women and youth, trained to conduct surveys in their own districts. They speak the local language, know the local context, and are present in the village beyond the duration of a single project.

This produces two outcomes. The data is more accurate, because the enumerator is not a stranger. And the work creates a second income for households that depend on a single agricultural cycle.

01
Local language, local context. Enumerators conduct surveys in the dialect respondents actually speak.
02
Trained for each project. Enumerators are briefed on the specific instrument, consent protocols, and edge cases.
03
Supervised in real time. Geo-tags, audio audits, and back-checks are run while the survey is in field.
04
Paid directly, fairly. Earnings go to enumerators directly. The work is designed to fit alongside farm cycles.
